We knew it was time for a brake job...we just didn't realize how badly we needed it.

Yeah, there were basically no pads left!
Thankfully, Brian can do this job himself. We still have to get the other car back to the shop to solve it's mystery ailment. The mechanic thinks he has figured it out, but I'm not sure I want him to be right 'cause that's gonna cost us another $300 (we've already spent $600 so far). But, then again, we've been trying to figure this out since July, so $300 may be worth it if it is finally fixed.
At the same time the other car started it's goofball antics this summer, the transmission went out on the main car. Thankfully, that was under warranty!
