Today we had a special event at our new home. Brian's PhD mentor and friend walked through our new home praying a blessing over each room and our family. What a wonderful way to begin the Lenten season!
Phil just happened to be in the States for a conference and it has been wonderful being able to spend time with him. Daniel was able to meet him for the first time and thought his accent was "cool"!

Our New Fridge
Is it wrong to be in love with a refrigerator?!
Our new fridge was delivered today and I was just too giddy! The one at our current rental should be retired. The light may or may not work when you open the door, the fresh veggies freeze, and there is no ice maker (which means someone - mainly me - has to fill the ice trays).
But now I have this!!!
You can also see where I have already painted. I will have to take a pic in the daylight when the whole thing is painted so you can see the color better. It's got a green tint, but doesn't shout "I'm Green!".
Until tomorrow!

A busy day!
We had one busy day today!
Worked until 1pm.
Closed on the house.
Stopped at Sam's to pick up a few grocery items & ended up buying a shed!
Took a load of paint & supplies to the new house.
Borrowed a truck and went back to get the shed.
Painted in the kitchen.
Took down shelves & puttied holes in the boys room.
Needless to say we are a bit tired! The refrigerator will be delivered tomorrow and I hope to finish painting the kitchen. I'll be sure to post a pic after the fridge is installed.

We Have Bought a House!
It's been four years and 3 rentals, but we are finally buying a house! It wasn't what we envisioned that we would be buying, but we know it is what God had planned for us all along. With 3 kids & a hubby working on a PhD, we had planned on a bigger place with 4 bedrooms and a study. We never dreamed we would fall in love with a smaller home with only 3 bedrooms and no study. But God knew what we needed. When we walked in, it felt like home.
Our kitchen
Living Room
Daughter's Room
Boys' Room
The kids' rooms are small, but manageable with some creative thinking. The closets are HUGE! If you can't find me, I may be hiding in one of them! We close on Monday and then will spend a few weeks putting on our own personal touches and moving in slowly.
Throughout this journey, we have continued to see God providing for us one step at a time. It hasn't always been easy, but it has never been boring! So, I am hoping that our friends and family will be able to come here and experience this new step in our journey with us.
